The E-Series is Ingersoll Rand's oil-free rotary screw range for applications where any oil carry-over is unacceptable: food and beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics, medical air, and precision coating. These machines deliver Class 0 oil-free air to ISO 8573-1:2010 — not "technically oil-free", but certified zero oil content in the air stream.
An oil-flooded compressor with a failed separator can pass a small amount of oil downstream. In food, pharmaceutical or electronics production, that is a batch failure, not a maintenance item. The E-Series uses a dry compression chamber, so there is no oil to carry over in the first place.
